As a business owner, one of the most difficult challenges you face is time management. It’s vital is to spend more time on the most important tasks.
Running a business involves having a kind of dual perspective. Looking ahead to see where you want to get to, and dealing with the now: the contents of your in-tray.
Once we have the 90-day plan in place, you’ll know exactly what to do. I always look at business from an 80/20 perspective: how can you leverage your time now to produce the maximum possible benefit – short and long-term.
A 90-day plan works well because it’s an effective timeframe. It’s long enough to take major strides forward, but short enough to promise a real difference this side of the horizon.
Dreams can be motivating but many people who set goals never achieve them. Very often, it’s because they fail to identify concrete actions to put in place.
The great news is that turning a business around isn’t rocket science. Sure, it requires focus and determination but, when you understand what’s needed, it can also be very exciting.
Once you have the plan, it’s up to you whether you’d like my help to put it into action (whether by coaching or consulting), or go the DIY route. I’m here to help if you need me, from Day 1 or later.
For example, you might decide to implement the plan yourself but call me in a month or two if you need a sounding board or want me to fix an issue. On the other hand, you might feel you’ll need my input from the get-go as a catalyst for change in the way your business operates.
